Shourjya Mookerjee is a Washington, D.C.–area writer, producer, and editor working across live news, studio programming, and longform storytelling. Most recently, he served as an associate producer at Scripps News, producing live and primetime segments across business and national coverage. He joined the network through its nightly program In The Loop, then moved into producing for Scripps News Live, including the business show Main & Wall, as well as the national primetime broadcast The National Report.

He is also the co-creator of Frame of Reference, an audio documentary series that uses reporting and expert interviews to examine the sports industry’s biggest fault lines, including power, money, culture, and labor. The podcast is produced independently, from story development and recording through editing and release.

Previously, he produced for the SiriusXM sports newsroom and covered federal and state technology for GovExec, developing a beat spanning smart cities, 5G, edge computing, and the nationwide transition to electric vehicles. He has also written and produced for outlets including Vox Media’s SB Nation, Bethesda Magazine, and the Hyattsville Life & Times. He is a graduate of the Philip Merrill College of Journalism at the University of Maryland.
